Big Change in Property Prices in Spain

There are a few very specific areas of Spain that have managed to hold their property value during this slump; Majorca being the main one. The other areas however have suffered badly and many owners have taken their properties off the market, awaiting a slight upturn in the market.

The areas that have suffered the worse are those that have been heavily developed over the last 5 to 10 years. There is a surplus of property and not enough buyers. This economic situation means that if any owner wants to sell they need to compete on price. Such situation therefore has led to big price reductions.

Some of the bigger villas for example have been reduced over 100,000 Euros and some apartments by 80,000 Euros. You are going to get more property for your money if you invest late 2008 and early 2009.

If you need any help in finding your ideal property, we search over 30,000 properties throughout Spain, many of which have not been advertised previously on the internet.
